2018 Mario Lanza Holds Museum Benefit Luncheon

The Mario Lanza Institute will hold a benefit luncheon for the Mario Lanza Museum on April 22 at Estia Restaurant, 1405 Locust Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from 1-4pm. Guests will enjoy a three-course lunch, a raffle and memorabilia auction, plus entertainment, featuring a special video presentation about the great performer, while recordings of Mr. Lanza will also be played.

Through his films, concerts, recordings, radio show and television appearances, Mario Lanza was truly an ambassador of music and brought enjoyment to all who experienced his wonderful and exciting talent. He introduced many individuals to the world of opera for the very first time.

The Mario Lanza Institute is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help perpetuate Lanza’s dream of aiding young aspiring opera singers through scholarships. To date, the Institute has awarded over 250 scholarships with many recipients going on to stellar careers on the world’s great opera and concert stages. It also maintains a museum located at 712 Montrose Street in Philadelphia that houses a collection of memorabilia from Lanza’s life and career.

Admission to the luncheon is $65 per person. For more information and to make reservations, contact the Mario Lanza Institute at 215-238-9691, or email: [email protected].
