Castaldo Tour Raises Thousands for Charities

During the recent holiday season, Michéal Castaldo’s East Coast Christmas Concert Tour helped to raise more than $40,000 for numerous churches and organizations. The tour began in late November in Manahawkin, New Jersey at The Stafford Township Arts Center, with a fundraiser for the Police Unity Tour of Stafford, with strong support by local area businesses all along the famed Jersey Shore.

As December began, Michéal was in Buffalo, New York for his Italian Christmas Concert at St. Rose of Lima Church. His next stop took him to Staten Island for The Spirit of Christmas – A Concert with Michéal Castaldo at New Dorp Moravian Church. It was then back to Buffalo for an Italian Christmas Dinner/Concert at Thin Man Brewery-Tappo, benefitting Centro Culturale Italiano di Buffalo. In each of those concerts, strong sponsor support made these events a tremendous success, with sold out performances.

Castaldo’s holiday concerts filled the hearts of audiences with the spirit of the holidays. Accompanied by the Castaldo String Quartet, he performed classic Advent and Christmas carols from his chart-topping, best-selling album, “Extravergine: Christmas in the Mediterranean,” as well as his new “Christmas in Italy” CD.

The award-winning Italian tenor has a rich operatic voice, both strong, but perfect in pitch and tempo. Castaldo, who studied music at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, has toured North America and Europe, including performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Rainbow Room, Shea Stadium, Toronto’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Italy’s Teatro F. Cilea and Pescara Opera House.
