2017 Anthony Vecchio Is Sworn in as NJ West Orange Fire Chief

Anthony Vecchio of Livingston, New Jersey, was recently sworn in as the new Fire Chief of the West Orange Fire Department at a ceremony held at The Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange, New Jersey.

Formerly the Deputy Chief, Anthony had been the Administrative Officer for the agency, with a vast amount of responsibilities ranging from the recruitment and training of firefighters to the coordination of fire operations and emergency medical services. The West Orange Fire Department is a fire/rescue and Emergency Medical Services agency comprised of almost 90 professional, personnel certified by the New Jersey Division of Fire Safely and the NJ Department of Health. As Fire Chief, Tony now oversees all four fire stations in the districts of West Orange. The Department currently operates four engine companies, one ladder company and one dedicated ambulance company.

Tony is an Account Executive at All-Ways Advertising Company USA and an active member of the Orange/West Orange UNICO Chapter of UNICO National. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park. Congratulations to Tony, his wife, Anita and the entire Vecchio family, as well as the entire West Orange Fire Department.
