The Orange-West Orange Chapter of UNICO National held its 45th Annual Sports Awards Breakfast honoring two students from each of the local high schools. The students selected were Hannah Villasin and Terrence Toussaint from West Orange High School; Jameer Reed and Chisom Onyewuenly from Orange High School; Luca D’Emilio and Louie Magliaro from Seton Hall Prep and Zece Brown and Eva Hale from Golda Och Academy. Also honored were the West Orange High School Girls Soccer Team which were the 2018 North 1, Group 4 State Sectional Champions.
Approximately 310 guests attended, many were long time attendees. The guest speaker was “Dwight “Doc” Gooden, who captivated the audience with stories of his years with the New York Mets and Yankees. He also took questions from the guests, posed for pictures and provided autographs to the many fans that were in attendance.
