The 2018 Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel will be dedicated to the late Rev. Msgr. Emmanuel M. Capozzelli, who served at the Church from 1968 to 1994.

The 2018 Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Returns to Montclair

The Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel is returning to Montclair, New Jersey, after an absence of two years. This year’s event will take place from Thursday, July 19 through Sunday, July 22.

The Feast kicks off on Thursday with live entertainment by the Cameos, performing show-stopping oldies from the 1950s, 60s and 70s. The group will return to the stage at the festival for shows on Friday and Sunday, as well. Saturday, July 21 will feature the big sound of America’s #1 show band, The Infernos, who will have the crowd dancing up a storm with their masterful renditions of popular music.

In addition to live music, the feast will have a vast assortment of food vendors, a beer and wine garden, rides, games, amusements, raffles and a super 50/50.

This year’s carnival and international food festival is dedicated to the memory of the Msgr. Emmanuel M. Capozzelli, who devoted 26 years to the parish, including 20 years serving as its pastor. Msgr. Capozzelli passed away at the age of 98 on December 23, 2017.

The hours of the feast are 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Thursday and Friday, July 19 and 20; 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Saturday, July 21 and 3:00 to 10:00 pm on Sunday, July 22. There will be a procession of the statue of Our Lady of Mount Carmel beginning at 3:30 pm on Sunday, July 22 and special Masses will be conducted throughout the week.
