2018 Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey Performs in Italy

Originally founded in 1996 as the Baroque Orchestra of Boonton has become the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey, performing music from all periods and styles. It holds concert throughout its organized seasons and conducts special concerts in collaboration with artists and organizations throughout the Garden State. Many of its concerts take place in Dolan Hall, located on the campus of The College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown.

Under the direction of Maestro Robert W. Butts, conductor and artistic director, the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey recently traveled to Italy for three successful concerts and were greeted with enthusiastic full house audiences. The orchestra’s first concert was presented in glorious Venice at the beautiful Palazzo Cavagnis. The next day, the members boarded the train to Padua and that evening performed a concert at Palazzo Zacco-Armeni. For the orchestra’s final concert, it returned to Venice for a highly successful concert at the Scola dell’Angeli Lutheran Church. It was an unforgettable experience for the musicians and the orchestra has been invited back for return engagements.
