St. Nicholas Church Holds St. Anne Feast Day Mass in July

St. Nicholas Church of Palisades Park, New Jersey, will be celebrating a St. Anne Feast Day Mass on Thursday, July 26 at 8:00 am. A holy relic of the Saint will be venerated immediately following the Mass. Saint Nicholas Parish has a long history of special devotion to the grandmother of Jesus Christ, dating back to the days when Canadian missionary priests would journey to Palisades Park from the Shrine of St. Anne de Beaupre in Quebec, to conduct annual novenas in honor of the Saint. St. Nicholas Church is located at 442 E. Brinkeroff Avenue.

The public will have a rare opportunity to venerate the holy relic, a bone fragment of St. Anne, who is the patroness of mothers and children and is known for miraculous cures, especially those of the crippled. Shrines in her honor are filled with wheelchairs and crutches as a testimonial of those cures.
