Morris Avenue Hosts 2018 Spring Lake Italian Festival in September

On Saturday, September 29, Spring Lake, New Jersey, will be transformed into an Italian village for the annual Spring Lake Italian Festival. Morris Avenue will be closed and turned into a festival area, featuring live music with Dominique & Julian, the “Al Fresco” Italian specialty food court, a wine and beer garden, face painting and balloon twisting for the kids, as well as a festival favorite – the petting zoo. Rounding out the activities will be Italian dancing featuring Spring Lake School of Dance and the annual Spaghetti Eating Contest. New this year will be a performing mime, a staple at festivals in Italy. Local merchants and vendors will be featuring their products and services and the food court will be presented by Chamber of Commerce member restaurants. Third Avenue will once again be lined with artwork, making September 29 the last Art Walk of the season.

This year will feature renowned Italian entertainer and Italian Tribune columnist “Uncle Floyd” Vivino. The “Uncle Floyd Show” aired in the NY-NJ markets for 24 years and Uncle Floyd has appeared in many television shows and movies. He will bring his music and comedy at 4:00 pm to the Morris Avenue stage.
