Established on April 26, 1919, la Società Pescopaganese di Mutuo Soccorso recently celebrated its centennial at the Hanover Manor in East Hanover, New Jersey. Over 200 guests attended from the Tri-State region. The children of the founders were on hand with their families to recognize the original members. Awards were presented to officers and various members for their service to the Society and special plaques acknowledged deceased members, Giuseppe Gonnella, the society’s founder; Monsignor Don Peppino DiMarco for his spiritual guidance, as well as Lorenzo Pucillo, for his dedicated leadership. The centennial gala committee was spearheaded by Giovanni Pinto.
