The Riverside Opera Company, based on Staten Island in New York City, performs fully and semi-staged productions with full orchestra conducted by Maestro Alan Aurelia. He has conducted in Italy, as well as in the United States. Its singers are winners of open public auditions, held in New York City. It also provides yearly workshops for professional and emerging professional singers and free opera in the schools as educational outreach.
The Opera Company is planning its next season and will be holding auditions for singers on September 2 in Midtown Manhattan. Winners will receive a public concert accompanied by a professional opera orchestra for a concert in November 2018, as well as concerts throughout the season and will receive payment.
