Richard D. Santucci’s Road to Becoming One of the Best Chiropractors

Dr. Richard Santucci was born in the Bronx, New York. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 1977. Later that same year, Dr. Santucci established his practice in Hackensack, New Jersey. Early in his practice, he pioneered a screening and training program that not only helped prevent injuries, but significantly lowered workers compensation premiums. Dr. Santucci’s innovative approach garnered national recognition from the American Chiropractic Association. He subsequently earned the post graduate degree of Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Occupational Health (DABCOH). In 1998, he finished further post-graduate studies and was awarded the title of Certified Chiropractic Primary Care Physician (CCPCP) by the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic.

A former professor of advanced chiropractic analysis and technique at the New York Chiropractic College, Dr. Santucci taught interns how to best treat difficult cases. He also taught post-graduate occupational health/industrial consulting and safety courses. Richard has also been a consultant and lecturer for the Bergen County Utility Authority and currently consults for the City of Hackensack, as well as acting as the team chiropractor for Fairleigh Dickinson University.

His professional affiliations are many and include three terms as President of the Northern New Jersey Chiropractic Society, founding board member of the statewide Association of New Jersey Chiropractors (ANJC) and founder of the New Jersey Chiropractic Forum.

In addition to the aforementioned professional societies, Dr. Santucci is also a member of the Greater Hackensack Chamber of Commerce, Hackensack UNICO, past philanthropic chairman and President of The Columbians, an Italian American Philanthropic Organization based in Hackensack. He is a member of the Italian American Police Society, as well as the Fraternal Order of Police. His awards are too numerous to mention, but include Outstanding Service as President of the Chiropractic Society, Meritorious Service to the Chiropractic Profession and Distinguished Service Award.

Dr. Santucci and his wife, Linda have two sons, Richard A. Santucci, DC and Anthony P. Santucci. Richard currently owns and manages the Bergen Family Chiropractic Center on Main Street in Hackensack which provides chiropractic care, acupuncture and whole food nutrition and also lectures on many health based topics. His hobbies are antique sports cars, hunting, cooking and wine making.
