Retirement Dinner Honors Nanette Rotonda for 44 Years of Service

A retirement dinner was recently held at Nanina’s in the Park in Belleville, New Jersey, to honor Nanette L. Rotonda for her 44 years of service in the Belleville School District.

Mrs. Rotonda obtained her B.A. in education from Caldwell University, a Master’s in student personnel services from Kean University and a Master’s in administration and supervision from Montclair State University. She spent 26 years at Belleville School Number 7, where she initially taught grades 1-5 and later served as school counselor and coordinator of the gifted and talented program. Mrs. Rotonda served as Principal of School 9 for fifteen years, where she remained until her recent retirement.

Nanette is married to former Belleville Police Chief Joseph Rotonda. Their son Joseph is the Principal of Schools 9 and 10 in Belleville, while daughter Johnna is a special education teacher at School 3 in the same town. Her daughter-in-law Jennifer is a teacher in the Guttenberg school system, while her son-in-law Keith is a Bomb Squad Detective with the Essex County Sheriff’s Office.

In retirement, Mrs. Rotonda plans on spending plenty of time with her three grandchildren, Joey, Lexi and Joseph Giovanni and writing a cook book with her daughter and mother, Marietta LaCapra.
