Il Circolo Celebrates Pranzo, Vino, Bocce in a Culinary Demonstration

Il Circolo, the Italian Cultural Society of the Palm Beaches, Florida, enjoyed an afternoon of learning, eating, music, sports and celebrations, all in one day at “Pranzo, Vino, Bocce.” The genesis of the event was a culinary demonstration to commemorate the establishment of a new Il Circolo Scholarship Fund in the culinary arts. In collaboration with the group’s friends at Arturo’s Ristorante in Boca Raton, plus members and supporters of Il Circolo, the event was enjoyed by 100 attendees.

Arturo’s Rosaria and Vincenzo Gismondi and staff showed their unique preparation of pasta a la vodka, followed by a demonstration of zabaglione for dessert. Music was provided by tenor Carlos De Antonis, pianist Sergio Salani and Italian pop singer Mary Carmen Siciliano.

Dr. Douglas De Orchis and his family decided to have Il Circolo join in the celebration of their father’s 95th birthday along with the birthday of his dear friend, Emilio Petti.
