Amici Opera Company Continues Representing Philadelphia After 19 Years

Philadelphia – Amici Opera Company has represented opera in the Philadelphia area for the past 19 years. Ralph Tudisco is the founder and impresario of the company as well as their baritone. His love and desire to share and grow opera is what drives him daily. He also teaches classes at the Ft. Washington campus of Temple University in the history of opera and the careers of performers. Many of the operas he presents have never been staged in the United States before. All his performers are trained singers who come from many States to perform and share their talents on a volunteer basis. Attendance means so much to the performers. Upcoming opera tickets are $20. The next few operas are Manon on December 3 at 3pm and December 9 at 4pm, both performed at Redeemer U.M.C., 1128 Cottman Ave., Lawndale, Philadelphia. On December 17 at 3pm, Puccini’s La Bohème will be presented at Redeemer U.M.C. On December 20, there will be a dinner and opera show at 6pm, in memory of Jim Corrado. Puccini’s La Bohème at Franco and Luigi’s, 1549 S 13th St., corner of 13th and Tasker. Tickets for the dinner concert are $20.00 for the Opera plus the price of dinner off the menu.
