The holiday season began in swingin’ style with a musical event that honored a group of New Jersey Army, Navy and Air Force veterans, a Gold Star wife and other attendees, who enjoyed a lunch and marvelous show starring the Rat Pack Trio.
The festive three-hour event was held at the Cherry Valley Country Club, near Princeton. A patriotic musical salute, including a rendition of America the Beautiful, rounded out the afternoon. But the stars of the luncheon show were multi-talented entertainers who performed popular songs from the Rat Pack era.
The three performers, John Monforto (Frank Sinatra), Joe Perce (Dean Martin) and Lloyd Diamond (Sammy Davis Jr.), have been delighting audiences with their humorous antics and song stylings for over a decade.
