Turkeys 4U and Montville UNICO are working together to make a better Thanksgiving for those who are less fortunate.

Montville UNICO and Turkeys 4U to Distribute Turkeys to Less Fortunate

Turkeys 4U, a non-profit student run organization now in its sixteenth year, in conjunction with the Montville UNICO Foundation, will once again be distributing turkeys and food certificates to needy families, food pantries, churches, orphanages and soup kitchens throughout northern New Jersey. Thirty-five high school students from Kinnelon, Mountain Lakes, the Academy of St. Elizabeth and middle school students from Lincoln Park, will be raising funds to purchase over four tons of turkeys and food certificates to be delivered on November 18, 2017, to the Interfaith Food Pantry in Morristown, the Father English Center in Paterson, St. Anne’s Church in Parsippany, St. Peter’s Church in Parsippany and the Kinnelon Health Department. Turkeys will also be delivered to the Montville UNICO Foundation for distribution to 60 local families in need, along with food certificates, in time for Thanksgiving dinner. My Limo, a transportation company located in East Hanover, has donated a bus and a driver to the students to pick up and deliver the turkeys for distribution.

Last year, Turkeys 4U raised just under $16,000 and distributed 735 turkeys and $2,000 worth of food certificates.  In the fifteen years of the organization, Turkeys 4U has raised over $213,000 and donated over 14,000 turkeys. Tax deductible donations are appreciated and can be made payable to Montville UNICO Foundation, (Turkeys 4U in the memo section) and mailed to PO Box 788, Montville, NJ 07045.  100% of the funds raised are utilized to purchase turkeys and food certificates.
