Italian American Town Hall

A Town Hall meeting entitled “Speaking Out:  Respect is a Two-Way Street” will be held in the Columbus Citizen’s Club’s Oak Room, located at 8 East 69th Street in Manhattan. The event will take place on Thursday, October 24, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Following a welcoming by Chairman Robert J Agnoli, outlining Italian American immigration and milestones, there will be panel discussions focusing on the Italian American heritage and its future in the U.S. and the navigation of the legacy of Christopher Columbus.

Guest speakers for the first panel include: Dr. Anthony Julian Tamburri, Dean of the Calandra Institute and Distinguished Professor of European Languages and Literatures; Dr. Donna Chirico, Dean and Professor of Psychology, York College, CUNY and Dr. Fred L. Gardaphe, Distinguished Professor of Italian American Studies, Queens College, CUNY. Guest speakers for the second panel will be: Judge Basil M. Russo, National President, Order Italian Sons and Daughters of America (ISDA); Angelo Vivolo, Chairman of the Board, Columbus Citizens Foundation and President, Columbus Heritage Coalition and Mike Santo, Special Counsel to CCF and ISDA.
