From Rome – Cruiserweight Title Contender Simone Federici

Federici to Square Off Against Bujaj

The WBC Cruiserweight Title will be on the line as Star Boxing’s “Rockin’ Fights” presents Simone “Tyson” Federici (Rome, Italy, 15-2-1 7; KO’S) against Stivens “Superman” Bujaj (Shkoder, Albania 17-2-1; 11 KO’s) on Saturday, November 23 at The Paramount in Huntington, Long Island.

Both cruiserweights enter the bout looking to earn the WBC Continental America’s Cruiserweight title. It will be Italy against Albania as with the coveted WBC belt at stake.

Federici will be fighting for the second time in the United States, after tearing apart the competition in Italy. The 26-year-old native of Rome is an Italian National Champion and former IBF Mediterranean Champion. Federici began boxing with help from his uncle, a former Italian heavyweight boxer, who remains his coach to this day. “An opportunity like this does not come along often for Italian fighters,” said Federici, “I want to become world champion and this fight we must win!”

Opposing Federici is Albanian born, New York resident Stivens Bujaj. The 6’1” 29-year-old has not shied from big opportunities in the past. Making his pro-debut in 2010, Bujaj has earned the WBC USNBC and USA New York State Cruiserweight titles. He warned fans not to blink during the bout, “I don’t expect this fight to go 10 rounds. I feel like I’ll be able to get my opponent out of there early.”

The evening will also feature Danny “El Gallo” Gonzalez (Woodhaven, NY 18-2-1; 7 KO’s) versus Johnny “Hitman” Hernandez (Huntington, NY 10-4; 1 KO) in a grudge rematch for the WBC FECARBOX and ABO Intercontinental titles.
