Designer Piccicoli at the MET

Fashion designer Pierpaolo Piccioli, Creative Director of Maison Valentino, will be the next guest of The Atelier with Alina Cho on May 21, at 6:30 pm at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Since arriving at Valentino, Piccioli has captured the essence of a legendary brand that is synonymous with elegance and craftsmanship while infusing it with a new set of values defined by beauty, grace and individuality.

He will join journalist Alina Cho for a conversation about fashion and its narrative power, his humanistic approach to creativity and his ability to influence areas beyond the fashion industry as evidenced by him being named to the 2019 Time 100 Most Influential People list.

Pierpaolo Piccioli began his career in 1990, working on accessories at Fendi. He arrived at Valentino with Maria Grazia Chirui to develop the emerging accessory line and the pair was named the brand’s Creative Directors in 2008. In 2016, Piccioli was appointed sole Creative Director of the House.

Alina Cho is a contributor to CBS Sunday Morning and is an Editor-at-Large at Ballantine Bantam Dell, responsible for acquiring and editing fashion and lifestyle books.
