Celebrate 92nd St. Sebastian Feast & Carnival in Montclair

The San Sebastian Society and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church will present the 92nd Anniversary of The San Sebastian Festival from Wednesday, August 22nd through Sunday, August 26th. This year’s event will be held at the Christopher Street and Kaveny Field Area in Montclair, New Jersey.

The feast and carnival will feature a fine array of Italian food vendors, with all your favorites, including brick oven pizza, cheese steaks, sausage and peppers, Italian hot dogs and zeppole. Be sure to bring the whole family and their appetites! There will be plenty of rides for kids and adults, featuring the return of the infamous “Ring of Fire” roller coaster. There will also be a 50/50; Wine and Beer Garden; games of skill and games of chance. Of course there will be nightly entertainment.

On Saturday, August 27th, Vespers will be held at 7:30 pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church located at 94 Pine Street. On Sunday, there will be a Solemn High Mass at 11:00 am.

The highlight of the festival will be the Procession with the statue of St. Sebastian aboard the beautifully decorated “A Vara.” The procession leaves Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 3:30 pm on Sunday, escorted by the Tony Neglia Italian Feast Band. It will wind its way through the streets of Montclair, arriving at the Feast site approximately 6:00 pm. The hours of the festival are Wednesday through Friday from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 pm ‘til 10:00 pm.
