Proving that chilly weather and windy conditions cannot stop the true spirit of bocce, the Bocce Club of Holiday City South in Toms River, New Jersey, recently held their Championship Finals, capped with a gala year end party. The league consists of 24 teams in three divisions and began play during the summer. After many memorable matches, the league playoffs began in September.
For the recent championship event, 170 enthusiastic players participated and bundled up as the day grew colder. Regardless of weather, mittens were worn and parkas were needed, but nothing could stop the players in pursuit of the championship and the bragging rights that go along with it.
Following the intense bocce championship play, team La Bocce Vita proved victorious! All of the members enjoyed the end of season gala luncheon.
