Lunch Isn’t Just Lunch at Villa Victoria

Park Street in Montclair, New Jersey, has been the home to family-owned Villa Victoria for more than 20 years. Originally a pizzeria, it became long-time favorite among those in the area. When Executive Chef Floyd Montiel expanded the menu to include traditional classics as well as creative specialties, the word soon spread about the exceptional offerings. Guests are quick to make dinner reservations once they hear about the authentic dishes and soon return to try additional menu items. But for those who work in the area, have you visited Villa Victoria for lunch? If you have not, do not miss it. Well worth the visit for only $9.95!

Traditional sandwiches are a lunch crowd favorite, with signature heroes such as broccoli di rape hero with potatoes and fried sausage on a garlic roll, or the grilled eggplant with Portobello mushrooms, roasted potatoes, arugula and balsamic vinaigrette. Chef Floyd and his staff now offer $9.95 specials from 11:00am until 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, with selections including chicken classico – parmigiana, marsala, piccata or francese; chicken Scarpariello with penne; veal Milanese with broccoli di rabe; mussels and clams marinara and more – make sure to try the chicken contadina with onions, sausage, peppers and mushrooms in a light red sauce; it is superb. The lunch includes a salad and beverage. We cannot imagine a better value and a more delicious midday meal than you would find at Villa Victoria. In addition, you’ll find an extensive choice of paninis, focaccia sandwiches and wraps, plus a dazzling menu of specialty pizza such as the bruschetta with chopped dressed tomatoes, red onions and basil. For unique experiences try their delectable chicken scampi pizza or the wild mushroom pan pizza.

The full dinner menu at Villa Victoria offers a wide variety of specialty pasta, seafood and entrees and a delicious selection of gourmet salads and appetizers, in addition to the wraps and sandwich and specialty pizzas. With the freshest ingredients that are delivered daily to the restaurant, the quality that goes into the preparation of the food shines through with every bite.

A reason for everyone in the family to visit Villa Victoria is their “Sunday Gravy.” A staple for generations in Italian American households, now your family can enjoy the authentic Neapolitan cuisine that made Sundays the favorite day of the week. Rather than Nonna spending most of the day over a hot stove, preparing handmade meatballs, adding the bracciole and cooking the gravy until it is just right, let Chef Floyd prepare Sunday dinner in the traditional and authentic way. “Sunday Gravy” begins with your choice of a garden or Caesar salad and includes homemade rigatoni with three meats – meatballs, sausage and spareribs. You’ll finish off your feast with coffee or tea and spumoni for dessert. “Sunday Gravy” is a fantastic value at only $24.95 per person.

Villa Victoria’s extensive catering menu can accommodate both on premise and off-site for corporate events, birthdays, family gatherings and holidays. Stop in to discuss how to make your next gathering a memorable one.
