Interior Designers Helping Medical Professionals

‘Your Home Collaboration’ was recently launched to help front-line medical professionals responding to the pandemic make their home sanctuaries that they can look forward to returning home after helping our communities stay safe and healthy. This virtual program has recruited interior designers nationwide to provide free design consultations to these heroes.

Interior designer Anna Maria Mannarino, whose office is in Holmdel, New Jersey, is a past president of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers, has initiated this program after working with manufacturers and local and state officials to provide much-needed personal protective equipment (PPE) to hospitals in the area.

“During these unprecedented times, it’s important that we are all doing what we can to say thank you to those who are on the front lines of the pandemic,” said Mannarino. “We know that design impacts lives and good design enhances the human experience. I’m calling on all my friends and colleagues in the design community to donate a One Room Consultation to these heroes.” Those who wish to nominate a medical professionals for the program or medical professionals themselves anywhere in the country can fill out a form requesting design services on the program’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/yourhomecollab/. The forms for interior designers across the country can be found on the Facebook page as well. In addition, vendors are encouraged to donate their products and services. Sherwin-Williams was the first company to participate.
