DeNicola Appointed Head of University Advancement

Felician University of Lodi, New Jersey, has appointed Maura DeNicola as its Vice President of University Advancement. In her role, DeNicola will continue to lead the department she has served on an interim basis during the past year. This includes development, public relations, community relations, communications, alumni engagement and oversight of conferences and events.

A seasoned educator, DeNicola brings over 20 years of community leadership to the position. University President Anne Prisco remarked, “Maura brings a wealth of knowledge in relationship building and outreach as Felician is poised to move forward with many ground-breaking projects and programs.”

DeNicola said, “I am honored to be a part of the Felician community, working to support the incredible, life-changing mission of the University. In many ways my job is to provide a beacon for the greater community to better know, support, and benefit from the University’s work.”

As a former Bergen County Freeholder and Mayor, she brings additional experience in regional and state affairs to her department. DeNicola holds a Master’s degree in Education and Child Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree from Boston College.

Founded in 1942 by the Felician Sisters, Felician University is one of the few Franciscan universities in the country and the only one in New Jersey. The university engages over 2,300 undergraduate, graduate and adult students through programs in arts and sciences, business, nursing and education.
