Valerie Cooks Tuscan

Award-winning actress and best-selling author Valerie Bertinelli and her husband, Tom Vitale, participated in Tuscan Women Cook, a week-long culinary immersion, based in the medieval Tuscan village of Montefollonico. On her Food Network series, “Valerie’s Home Cooking,” she recently hosted “Pasta Perfecto,” a segment showcasing recipes that she learned during her trip to Tuscany. Valerie invited Coleen Kirnan and Rhonda Vilardo, owners and operators of Tuscan Women Cook, to join in, cooking up the authentic recipes.

In reminiscing about her week-long culinary immersion, Valerie said, “I learned to make pici. Pici is so easy! You can have fresh pasta, boom, like that. It tastes so good and it’s so fun to make. It’s like pasta Play Dough. I had the time of my life. It was a vacation of a lifetime. It was spectacular. You get to know all the people, the region is stunning and the food is sublime.”
