Caruso Wins Award in Film Competition for A Life Worth Living

Giovanna Caruso was the winner of a prestigious Award of Recognition from The Accolade Global Film Competition. The award was for her short film, “A Life Worth Living,” which explores the emotional struggles of loss and how people face grief.

“I am honored to have received this award in such an early stage of my career. Making this short film was one of the best and most terrifying experiences of my life. When I first moved to this country, I wasn’t able to speak English and I used movies as a tool to learn the language. Now, seven years later, I have written a script and produced an award-winning film alongside Rocco Michaluk,” said the filmmaker.

The Accolade award recognizes film, television, videography and new media professionals who demonstrate exceptional achievement in craft and creativity, as well as those who produce standout entertainment or contribute to social change. In winning an Accolade, Ms. Caruso joins the ranks of other high-profile winners such as Oscar winners Ron Howard, Malcolm Clarke and Dave Bossert.
