Missing Spanish Doctor Found Living in the Forests of Tuscany
A man who disappeared from his home in Seville, Spain 20 years ago has been found living as a hermit in the Maremma region of southern Tuscany. The area is one of rolling hills with thick forests and is most notable for its deer and wild boar population. Apparently for the last 20 years, it has also been the residence of Carlos Sanchez Ortiz de Salazar, 45, who was discovered by mushroom pickers last week. He fled Spain 20 years ago in a state of severe depression, but is now being reunited with his family, members of which have flown to Italy to meet with de Salazar.
